Membership Questions

+ Q. Who joins Zoco?

Any Business owner/Sales person who understands the power and value in developing proper business friendships!

+ Q. I’m new to Networking, what should I ask?

How you can help others, what is it you need to grow your business?

+ Q. Is there a free trial?

You can attend one business Networking event free of charge and without being a member.

+ Q. I am already a member of another Networking organisation, is this an issue?

Of course not, we welcome you to join any Networking groups you will find beneficial to you.

+ Q. I live abroad, can I become a member?

Of course, with the majority of our meetings being virtual you can join from anywhere in the world.

+ Q. How many people attend and do you get a delegate list after each event?

It varies for each event, however we normally we have a minimum of around 30, and yes… chat and attendance list usually mailed within 24 hours.

+ Q. Do I have to make referrals each week?

You are not required to find a referral or bring a guest to meetings.

+ Q. Do I have to attend every meeting?

No you can attend as many or as few as you want every month.

+ Q. Can you make introductions for me?

Yes, you will however as a member have access to the members directory where you will find details of all of our members.

+ Q. I want to join, what’s next?

+ Q. Are all events included as part of membership?

Yes, you will be able to attend all online meetings as part of your membership. For in-person meetings you will need to pay approximately £10 per meeting to cover the cost of a hot drink and pastries/fruit etc.

+ Q. How far in advance do I have to book?

If you are a monthly paying member you will not need to book onto any of the events. You can just turn up. If you are pay as you go you can book right up to a minute before a meeting.

+ Q. How can I prepare for an event?

You may want to prepare a 60 second pitch that introduces you and your business. This is a great way to tell people more about you and what you do.

+ Q. What if I want to bring a colleague or friend?

You are more than welcome to bring a friend or colleague to visit. They will however need to book a place. First time visits are free of charge.

+ Q. There’s a particular event I want to attend, can I just book that instead of joining as a member?

Yes, you can pay as you go for each event, however if you are attending more than 2 a month you would find more benefit in becoming a member.

+ Q. What is the format of an event?

Speed Networking – multiple breakouts for four minutes with one other person. A minimum of 8 121s.

Main meeting – This our upgraded version of the traditional meeting, you will be put in multiple small groups of around 10. This allows you to give your 60 second pitch multiple times.

+ Q. What time of day are your events?

We hold our meetings at either 10am or 4pm for Speed Networking and 10am for our Main Monthly meeting. Member only meetings are held on Mondays at 10am and Friday at 4pm. Get S**t Done days are held from 10am.

+ Q. What online platforms do you use?

We use Zoom for all of our online meetings.

+ Q. Is there restricted membership? (only one of each sector/profession)

No….people buy from people!

 

Payment/Account Questions

+ Q. How much is online membership and what do I get?

£22 per month (minimum of 6 months)

+ Q. What options do I have to pay my membership fee?

Payments are made monthly.

+ Q. How long will it take to receive confirmation of my membership?

Within 24 hours.

+ Q. I’ve forgotten my log in details. How can I get into my account?

Click the log in option then select the ‘forgotten password’ option and follow the prompts.

+ Q. How can I cancel my membership?

A simple email to me will do it! (Nick@zoconetworking.co.uk)

+ Q. Can I get a subscription refund if my employment circumstances change during the membership year?

No, you cannot get a refund but if you think your circumstances are going to change (e.g. Retirement, Redundancy, Maternity Leave) and you notify us before you renew we can adjust your subscription accordingly.

+ Q. I want to talk through my options, who do I call?

+ Q. I’m not yet a member, can I come along to a session to try it out before I join?

Yes! You are welcome to join the Main Monthly meeting once for free to try out. The Monday and Friday check-ins are members only. You can also book into Speed Networking events as one-off bookings if you want to try those out.

+ Q. Do I need to give a 60 second pitch?

We aim to keep things pretty informal. We do include these in the main monthly meetings so of course everyone can get to know what everyone else does. The 60 second intros are not part of the Monday and Friday sessions and Get S**t done days. At the Speed Networking events, within your individual 1-1 sessions you’ll get a chance to talk directly with at least 8 people so it’s up to you how you want to introduce yourself!

+ Q. Where are you based geographically?

Nick the founder is in Hampton, South West London, but we have members from across the UK. If you are interested in hosting a local group for in-person meetings, we will do that as soon as it’s safe to do so. You can contact Nick to apply to become a group host at Nick@zoconetworking.co.uk
